October catch up

This weekend I had so many people tell me how well I looked.  Not gonna lie, I was overjoyed.  But I still have some more weight to lose.

Bust - 35
Waist - 25
Hips - 31
Weight - 7 stone 135

Weirdly enough, once you get into the swing of things it's fairly easy.  I no longer like fast food.  The last few times I've had KFC I've thrown up and when I had McDonald's the other day I also really struggled to keep it down.  That being said, my sweet tooth still keeps on piping up - I just need to ignore it.

I've also become a bit of an exercise junkie.  As Elle Woods once said 'Exercise gives you endorphins.  Endorphins make you happy.  Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't.'  She's so wise. At Aelfa we do a warm up every day which is nice and gentle.  Then on Monday its Ballet, Tuesday Aerial Hoop, Thursday Cardio and Friday Pole Fitness.  I love them all.

So here's what I am going to continue to do on my mission to lose weight:

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Plank for one song
  • 1 minute of scissor kicks
  • 2 minutes of crunches
  • 2 minutes of press ups
  • 1 minute of criss crosses
  • 2 minutes of squats
  • 2 minutes of lunges
  • 1 minute of star jumps
  • 2 minutes of hip extensions
  • 2 minutes of hip lifts
  • Read food labels
  • Improve metabolism by eating foods like: apples and turkey
  • Avoid the bad stuff
  • Embrace the good stuff
  • Think before I eat.  Am I actually hungry?
I will get skinny.  I will make your jaw drop.

After Holiday

So before my holiday I was losing quite a bit of weight - pretty much due to just not eating.  It became such a chore for me and so I decided to cut it out and felt a lot better for it.

However, I then went to the Greek island of Kefalonia.

You try and be healthy.  You opt for salads and stuffed vegetables rather than the burgers and chips which every other tourist eats, but the Greek are sneaky.  They know you are trying to diet so they smother you food in olive oil and sneak in bits of friend cheese amongst the vegetables.  They take an almost sadistic delight in trying to fatten you up.

So there's me in my new bikini - having not worn one in years going FML tummy stay flat!!  Obviously, it didn't.

Yet, when I weighed myself today it's not so bad.  I'm currently eight stone 1.  Waist 26.  Boobs and hips 33.

I need to start doing way more exercise before my course begins though, otherwise I might just die at the back of the class and that would be majorly awkward.

Whipped into shape

Legally Blonde has become my soundtrack at the moment.

I take this as a positive thing (Keep it positive!!) seeing as it is so very very happy and means I can't get down in my blue moods.

Since the beginning of this month I've lost half a stone and still on the track to lose more weight - so I've been trying to get motivated for exercise!!

This is where Legally Blonde comes in.

By the time summer is over I want to be able to do this dance while singing at the same time:

Wish me luck!!

New Beginnings

If I could look like anyone, it would be Keira Knightley.  But with bigger boobs.
At the end of the day, the people who moan the most about Keira being too skinny, are the ones who are probably the most jealous.  She's one of those incredibly lucky (and rare) women who can eat pretty much what they want and not have to worry about putting the pounds on.

Another body image I look up to is Jennifer Lawrence, and yet (for reasons unknown to me) her weight is often targeted by people who think that she could afford to lose a few pounds.  Are they seeing what I'm seeing?
Anyway, after about ten years of loathing my own body: spending that time yo-yo dieting, not eating for several days, throwing up after meals etc. I decided to try and go about it in a mature responsible way.  Loads of people I know have recently been boldly diving into the internet and revealing their measurements and posting pictures of themselves to try and provoke themselves into doing something about it.

So here goes....

Measurements:
Bust: 34.5
Waist: 27
Hips: 35

I should like to go for:

Measurements:
Bust: 34
Waist: 23
Hips: 30

The first couple of days while I'm trying to settle into a routine is going to be tough.  For starters, at work it's 25% off of pick n' mix.  Secondly, I need to work out what I can and cannot eat during the meantime and come up with a good physical work out.
